Breaking: Trump administration also goes immediately to
#SCOTUS, asking for a temporary order halting a lower court's order that would allow an undocumented teen to get an abortion. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4332538-17A655-Garza-v-Hargan-Stay-App.html …pic.twitter.com/y5vRORpq1u

DC Circuit adds another 24 hours to the district court's stay, likely in an effort to keep
#SCOTUS from weighing in just yet.https://twitter.com/ZoeTillman/status/942954044582227969 …Chris Geidner added,

Do you know if the panel that heard the motion will hear the merits as well? If so, good draw for plaintiffs — Rogers, Tate, Millett.

Tatel* ... And, yes, I saw the panel. That's the motions panel currently. Same panel on the trans ban request.

Tatel, yes, typing too quickly. Is that the panel that hears the merits or not necessarily?

It's a different motions panel than heard the first Garza stay request, so I'm not sure what they'd do. In the 9th Circuit, for ex, they've kept the same panel on all of the travel ban stuff, to my knowledge.
