In any event, my point is not to say that Trump will not ever fire Robert Mueller — that’s always been a possibility. My point is that I do not see anyone making any actual argument that has convinced me that this is something currently being considered.

Chris, T walked out not because he disagreed with P's recommendation that he fire M. He left because he was frustrated. He wants desperately to end the "witch hunt," especially as it closes in on him & his family. But he still doesn't know the political fallout=angry & frustrated
