I asked Special Counsel's Office for clarification on how Mueller obtained the emails without Trump officials finding out, per @mikeallen, until they were used in questioning. Through a spokesperson, Special Counsel's Office declined to comment.https://twitter.com/axios/status/942136120594321408 …

[I see that while we were in editing some other folks did get and publish the Trump campaign lawyer's letter, so that's not a S-C-O-O-P! Apologies!]

The issue is whether this information is admissable as evidence in court. The answer is Yes.

If Hope Hicks was interviewed for 2 days and the questions were excruciatingly precise because the were based on specific identifiable information in the emails, and her answers were false, it would lead to the undeniable exclamation: “we’re screwed.”

Who takes a government job thinking the government doesn't have access to their emails? How dumb are these people?

Even at the nonprofit I worked for it is clearly spelled out in Personnel Policies. There is no expectation of privacy. Emails & other forms of communication done on company computers, phones etc. is the property of said agency & can be looked at at anytime.

THIS is AWESOME! Thanks for posting! I know Mueller and his team will be 45's downfall... But I like to think that an army of journalists & watchers posting and reposting and pooling info has helped too.

So lemme wrap my brain around this. In using GSA property you sign a legal form saying you have no expectation of privacy? So using this stuff to talk about illegal stuff was double the dumb? And the lawyer is just pissing in the wind? Amirite?

Blame it on the dead guy. Then engage in a he-committed-no-he-didn't with the dead guy's deputy. Given Team Trump's propensity for flat-out lies, I choose to believe the dead guy's deputy.
