It's common practice for clients with cases at the Court to do it while they're in town, for the pomp but also because it's for life. I've had several. They're more likely to use the seating benefit, obviously.

Also, it certainly doesn't apply to Christie, but often clients or lesser team attorneys will do it for the seating that day, as each party is allocated only a small set of reserved seats.
