Are you twelve?
-
I am not. (Or are you asking the AP? Or North Korea?)

Sorry, that was rude of me. What is bad about a word cloud? Do infographics have a "coolness" shelf-life?

I didn't get his weird hostility either. I didn't realize media platform information sharing tools were high school girls fashions.

My rationale: (1) It’s a graphic that needn’t be a gif (bc the gif doesn’t really do anything), and even if it was a static image, it’s a format — fun and hot pink, etc. — that (2) isn’t used as much today and (3) doesn’t really fit with the story.

I can see how it's 'fun' nature juxtaposed against the context seems thematically inappropriate. They whole "trying to be hip" and "so last year" critiques fell flat. I honestly had no idea word clouds were ever intended as hip, or that they recently aren't any more.

Judging by the dozens of people who tweeted to me about it in agreement, retweeted it, or liked it, you two are in the minority. Have a nice day!
