REALITY BEHIND THIS TWEET: Republican Gov. Kay Ivey signed legislation in May that ended disenfranchisement of many people who served their felony sentences and are back in the community. My "position" is that a candidate for the US Senate should not deceive voters about a new law signed by the governor of his state (who is even of the same party as the candidate).

Also, more than 35 states allow those who have served their sentences (including, in some states, parole or probation) to vote again. So, it’s not an unusual thing at all to allow some of those people to vote again. Alabama was out of the mainstream before this.
