REALITY BEHIND THIS TWEET: Republican Gov. Kay Ivey signed legislation in May that ended disenfranchisement of many people who served their felony sentences and are back in the community. So is it your position that all felons should have rights restored? What about gun ownership? Sounds like a can of worms

My "position" is that a candidate for the US Senate should not deceive voters about a new law signed by the governor of his state (who is even of the same party as the candidate).

Also, more than 35 states allow those who have served their sentences (including, in some states, parole or probation) to vote again. So, it’s not an unusual thing at all to allow some of those people to vote again. Alabama was out of the mainstream before this.

I'm not too concerned about what Roy Moore thinks. Soooo gun ownership for felons, or nah?

Does it matter if it was a republican or a dem who sighned the legislation? I dont want Moore to win.. but I dont want to give rights back to felons either. Alabama is a fracked up place.

The irony of a judge who was twice removed from the bench for lawless behavior complaining about citizens exercising their rights to vote is soooooo rich, it's giving me a toothache.

You do realize that across the country, Republicans have disenfranchised felons who have served time. Why do you ignore this? Are you well?
