well - it would totally depend on the switch on your door handle - some are switched to the lock position and others are not. The office "guest" has no idea of the setting when the door closes.

Yes I agree an indicator light. The lock was never used I don’t think. Eventually his big office was a conf room and we used to play with the door while waiting for a meeting
