When I was at Law Dork, I had little influence over the conversation, but I also had little accountability — which let me explore the outer reaches of things a little more carelessly. Sometimes, it led to a gem, which was great!

We need another expression that's similar to confirmation bias - wishful confirmation? It's so easy to fall into in these days of desperation.

Assuming we are talking about
@SethAbramson if you look back he has actually been correct about a bunch of shit. I initially took him as a bit of a conspiracy theorist (and I still kind of do), but a lot of this pissiness is the MSM being mad they got scooped. -
It’s hard for traditional media outlets, the internet has resulted in them no longer controlling the dialogue and the release of information.
-
When the Papadopoulos news came down, it wasn’t a huge shock because I had been following SA for some time. Traditional news was shocked because they weren’t paying enough attention.
-
Also, another little secret. Traditional media is really terrible at reporting legal stories. I mean they are (to attorneys) shockingly bad. This leaves a wide open gap for accurate reporting on the legal story du jour. That gap is filled by non-traditional media outlets.

the only thing I dislike about your thread is it is so blase. WHERE is the passion and love of getting the story right and educating people on what they need to know? You sound like you are advising people how to sit on the toilet.
