Oh yea! Have known teachers that kept every single piece of paper that come across their desk since their first day teaching. Along with school districts with what used to be warehouse storage, now microfilm of all office/administrative paperwork for archival purposes
Interesting. My only frame of reference for school recordkeeping would be the school librarian in Serial telling the reporters that sign-in sheets, etc. were tossed eventually. Case-by-case basis I suppose.
