I've lived in the D.C. area my entire life and until this moment I did not know that the Yellow Line goes aboveground to cross the Potomac River.

I live in Dupont so I wouldn't go that way

Um... that makes no sense, it’s always faster to transfer from Red to Yellow on that trip (unless there is track work)

I take the bus to Farragut Square (there's a stop right next to my apartment and the Dupont metro is a 10-minute walk away) and then get on at FW. Don't assume you know what works best for someone else!

I would not count anywhere on the 42 that is ~10 minutes or more from the station to be in Dupont Circle
