I tweet one story about Russian bots. Lefty Twitter loses its shit: People who’ve no clue what I’ve reported on for the past decade attack.
-
-
... these attacks are (they’re clearly people who don’t follow me and haven’t read a word I’ve written), but it’s ... tiring, nonetheless.

Anyway, back to the actual story I’ve been working on. TTFN.

People will attempt to align themselves with causes in attempt to gain name recognition, credibility, and money. Doesn't make them legit. /1
-
I saw it with the Ferguson movement. You've got to watch and really listen to what people are saying. True colors eventually show through /2
-
I think people get defensive of movements because they understand that others will judge the entire movement by the few bad apples. /3
-
And they're correct. Many people will not research, will believe the thing that most closely tied to beliefs they already hold. /4
-
And most definitely, there are those who will publicize these instances as "proof" that the movement is invalid. /5
-
I think that these people are the ones you ran into on your thread. I understand. So, maybe don't defend as much as explain? /end

Your job as a human being is to do the best you can and that's it. People are ignorant at times and they lash out at the wrong targets.
