He will be the fourth Senate-confirmed person in leadership at DOJ — behind AG Sessions, DAG Rosenstein, and AAG Brand.
Dana Boente, the US Attorney for EDVA, also is Senate-confirmed. He is acting AAG for the National Security Division.
Until the Republicans show up, Francisco is actually losing his vote. (But that's not expected to stand.)pic.twitter.com/lP17jbJ1nE
(I'm somewhat surprised Dems are going all-out against him. Is the logic, "If Rs let all noms thru, I guess Ds will just vote no on all"?)
With no filibuster, and Rs in control, it makes sense from a bottom-line perspective. They don't need D votes, so why would the Ds give any?

Does this make the DOJ part of "one firm worldwide"(tm)? If so, who's the next equity partner? ;)
