Justices Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan would have denied the stay request. ... So, that's not very subtle.
Doesn't look good for the gerrymandering case(s)
Don't underestimate the impact. It's SCOTUS majority voting for districts found 7 times to discriminate intentionally against minorities.
@MaddowBlog We live in the fucking Twilight Zone.
Really seems like SCOTUS is trying to stall out redistricting before 2018.
What does this mean in clear simple English?
Someone has to talk to Stevens now.
I smell one heck of a rebuke being cooked up for the district courts in this terms opinions.
Of course they did. Because 5 of the justices are partisan hacks who will do anything to keep Repugs in power. SCOTUS is a disgrace.
“The justices that sometimes vote together are partisan hacks but the 4 on my side that ALWAYS vote together are not.” Handy that.
The ones on my side tend to vote for justice rather than party. If only they would all do that.
@MaddowBlog I dunno, guys. Seems to me you're kind of fucked.
