STILL NOT ISSUED.

This is no different than the Blade's story from
@KarenOcamb that was published as Trump left for vacation, tbh.http://www.washingtonblade.com/2017/08/04/trumps-trans-military-ban-now-policy/ … -
That was Aug. 4. It's Aug. 23. There's still no policy. There's not even "guidance" issued. Because it's going to be strongly challenged.
-
And, while there surely are some who agree with Trump's tweets, it's clear the military isn't eager to try to implement this mess.
-
So, I'll say exactly what I said about the Blade story, the Lambda tweet, and the NCLR/GLAD suit: I'm awaiting an actual policy here.
-
Anonymous talk of expected policy moves by this administration almost always means there are still internal fights ongoing.
-
No reason to think otherwise here. If you know otherwise, and work in the White House, DOJ, or Pentagon, reach out to me. I'm here.
-
If they actually do something, we'll know. It will be public—and the lawyers who oppose the move are ready. They'll be in court immediately.
-
Finally, to be clear: For those serving or who want to serve, yes, this situation is awful and I am not intending to discount that.
-
My point is that, from the religious liberty EO to travel ban 2.0 to other EO drafts, this White House is a mess when it comes to its plans.
-
A report about plans, expected or otherwise, are just that — subject to change (sometimes dramatic changes) — until they actually happen.

Mattis needs to put his foot down and stand up for our troops, or resign.
-
You realize nearly 100% of our military absolutely loves Mattis and most military members don't disagree with the ban. Should they resign?

Disgraceful. Trump the coward who dodged the draft 5 times thinks he can decide who is a patriot enough to serve the country
-
Are you suggesting the commander in chief, the man in charge of our military shouldn't decide who serves?
-
not when said CiC is a coward making decision based on bigotry and an idiot because removing trans soldiers which will cost 100 times more
-
those soldiers are patriots willing to die for their country and Trump knows nothing about bravery. Pentagon spends 6 times more with viagra
-
He is unfit to decide, a compulsive liar pretending to care about all our troops and doesn't even know basic math http://www.complex.com/life/2017/08/donald-trump-transgender-bill-to-cost-960-million-dollars …
