Never said it was fine. Presidents shouldn't lie constantly (duh). But media shouldn't pretend things are criminal just b/c they hate DJT.

FWIW, Chris, I read ur take: "We now see some/more elements of a crime here." But I didn't read u to say, "This is a crime." If so, I agree.

Odd thing (to me, anyway) is that I've been the guy who's said (as to Trump & various R mbrs), "This? Not a big deal." 1/

Just, this story today fits (too) well into that part of the Nixon Articles. 2/2

This is no more misleading (actually, it's less misleading) than HRC's "evolving" stmnts on email. But media didn't bring pitchforks then.1/
-
OK, now you've gone round the bend. I'm done talking w you about this if you actually think the media didn't go after HRC over her emails.
-
Was not aware that media ever argued that HRC public statements reflected "elements" of OofJ. Would appreciate correction (haven't Googled).

I didn't say that, first of, Ira did. Second of all, what are you talking about. I'm responding to a law prof in a twitter thread. Weird ...
-
... how we're talking about the law, ain't it?! You're distorting things, attacking the media, and spouting actual "BUT RUSSIA" talking pts.
-
Maybe we're talking about diff things. Impetus of this discussion is my doubt (at top of thread) that press stmnts can be criminalized. 1/
