The opinion is by Kennedy. Alito, joined by Thomas and the Chief, concur in judgment, criticizing majority's "undisciplined dicta."
Final decision: Ziglar v. Abbasi. #SCOTUS decides "a Bivens-type remedy should not be extended" to the cases' post-9/11 detention claims.
