See your point, but do you not see the "republicans pounce" phenomenon in journalism today? It's subtle, but framing is main form of bias.

"Without providing evidence", "Republicans pounce", and "what do you think of X's comments" are all almost exclusively reserved for GOP.

Honestly, the vast majority of things I've seen about Sasse have been conservatives complaining that Sasse is being victimized here.
