And, it comes along with the signing of one of today's Congressional Review Act bills —> HJRes 37: https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-joint-resolution/37?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22H.+J.+Res.+37%22%5D%7D&r=1 … /
The CRA bills do a more than roll back Obama orders; they make it so later president can't put the rule back without congressional approval.
HJRes 37 passed the Senate 49-48. Here's what it does: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-labor-law-20170306-story.html …pic.twitter.com/O2QSHqwkGx
It was a complete party-line vote. Not voting: Flake, Sullivan, Isaakson.
So, while parts of Obama's Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces EO could be reinstated by a later POTUS, the ones covered by HJRes 37 could not.
@bannerite @WhiteHouse He is bound and determined to erase every trace of Obama. He so doesn't get it.
so that is what that goobily gook says?
it is against fair pay & rights ?
I think disclosure of Labor violations &/or sanctions w/in preceding 3yrs is no longer required for contracts.
So bidders w/violations who want gov't contract not required to reveal employee safety, FMLA, pay, etc issues.
ask @chrisgeider. So complicated. I went back to Obama's order that trump's order is nullifying
He did it quietly. All pro-employer policy. Obama's EO protected workers against companies hiding violations.
thank you.
If I'm correct. lol You're welcome. @chrisgeidner will correct me if I got it wrong.
i can't keep up anymore
I am beyond angry. Profit of error people every time. GOP the party of rich greedy pigs
