Yes, that's what I've done over the past two years. If I don't work out or run for more than 2 days in a row, by the 3rd day I feel awful.
Yeah, that works for some people. Honestly, I love my gym time because it's ~not~ with anyone else. It's my "me" time.
(And, it took a long time to really get the discipline, to be clear! Didn't really happen until 2015, after yeeears of half-assed exercise.)
