Honestly, I'm exhausted.

But, it both feels and (I think) is substantively different now. There are important stories that I think need to be written that I miss.
-
A lot of the times now, it's triage: What stories do I think I can tell better—or that I don't think others will be telling? I focus there.
-
Oftentimes, I'm putting things on Twitter that get one or two tweets and would have been a half-day's story before.
-
And, I know I'm not alone in feeling this way! Here's one other person, for example:https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/844752444211023872 …

So, yeah, I just wanted to say something bc I know people see me working a lot, etc. But, I do get tired and frustrated, just like everyone!
-
And, that's ok — and why I do *try* to remember self-care. But, the perfectionist kicks in sometimes and I do wear myself out.
-
At those moments, I do have to stop, take a breath, and remember that I won't be doing anyone any good if I don't take care of myself.
-
And, in different ways and to different degrees, it's the same thing with everyone.
-
So, you're not alone! And, as I say (and will really try to listen to tonight): Be good to one another — and ourselves.
-
It's Thursday. I'm gonna sign off for the night, but I'll catch y'all in the morn. Night, all. Let us be good to one another—and ourselves.
