I broke down & watched King Cobra tonight. ... And then read EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET about the whole situation, and my god what a mess.

I mean, every part of this story is so interesting, but the movie cuts out key pieces that totally change what's what. (Which is annoying.)

So many historical fiction movies change a lot more than this and are still praised. And, the acting wasn't bad. (Exception = Franco's bf.)
