As his Wachtell bio displays, however, Conway has significant appellate experience: http://www.wlrk.com/GTConway/

Here's an October story about the Conways: https://bol.bna.com/wachtells-george-conway-and-the-trump-connection/ … /

So, Trump's key Senate campaign supporter gets the DOJ nomination and Trump's campaign manager's husband is being considered for SG.

FWIW: "George Conway" made a cameo in the SNL sketch about Kellyanne Conway's "Day Off."pic.twitter.com/KqnKJ5Mig3

How many had Kagan argued? How many other arguments had she had? How many briefs authored? Cases QBed?
-
Just a fact, Jonathan! First thing I did was looked up his Oyez profile!
-
I know, and agree he'd be unconventional choice. Just adding perspective! (FWIW, he's been a serious candidate for a while.)

From bankrolling Paula Jones to US Solicitor General. Lack of experience is fine here. Hope he loses every case!

Being an elf for Paula Jones is qualification enough for him probably.

Morrison is a pretty big one. Ignoring issues of who he married or donated to, he is a legit legal thinker in my experience

Ah, but he wrote the Supreme Ct. brief for Paula Jones' case against Bill Clinton. That'd be good enough for Trump.

To be fair, that's more appellate experience than I thought he had.
-
I think the real problem is lack of independence from Trump, not lack of qualifications per se.
-
Why not both? He's clearly a good lawyer, but SG is a different type of lawyer than corporate.
-
I mean, he’s a litigator with a lot of appellate experience (way more than Kagan had when she became SG).
-
Fair, I don't know a ton about him. He's at Wachtell so he is clearly a smart/good lawyer.
