At my first news job — back in 2000! — I was at a newspaper (the Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio), & I, too, loved watching the press go.

Was very cool to physically watch my work, especially once I became the editorial writer and laid out my page, be printed into existence.

so true. worked as sports writer for 8 years after college. Cut/paste layout on boards. Loved watching the press run.

always wanted to be like Michael Keaton in "The Paper," and yell STOP THE PRESSES. Never got to though:(
