People acting like I'm saying Obama had to attack the states: I said no such thing. He chose to go on for three graphs; he didn't need to.
The result of that is that he said things: (1) factually unsupportable, (2) likely not even in fitting w the admin's own position on NC law.
And before people ask about how I can know as to 2, I'd point folks to the admin's brief in the Grimm case:http://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/obama-administration-supports-transgender-student-in-federal#.jrXG9MGNR …
OK, that's that (for now).
@chrisgeidner Mr Geidner, I really have to disagree w/ you on this one. There's no way O would diss his own country while on foreign soil.
@michele5411 Well, then, you didn't read his quote — because he did!
@chrisgeidner I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from, then. I thought you were upset re 'come to MS/NC... treated well'?
@michele5411 I'm saying, the reason you disagree with me is nonsensical in light of Obama's response. He both dissed the laws AND said ...
@michele5411 ... "everybody" would be treated well if they visit. That's not in fitting with either the facts or his own assessment of ...
@michele5411 ... the law.
@chrisgeidner ah, now I understand. It's the 'everybody'. Well, he couldn't just say '..unless you're gay', could he? How would he do that?
@michele5411 He didn't need to say anything AT ALL. That's my point. He went on for three graphs and said more than he could justify.
@chrisgeidner chris, will you follow up on Twitter if/when you hear back? i think you're 100% correct in bringing this up. response matters.
