Tho, certainly the ~implication~ of DOJ's parenthetical is that San Bernardino Health Dep't, owner of the phone, did the reset on its own.
San Bernardino, tho, stated specifically that this was done at the FBI's request. http://www.buzzfeed.com/johnpaczkowski/apple-terrorists-appleid-passcode-changed-in-government-cust#.elJO0Yz21K …pic.twitter.com/UurUIheIrx
@chrisgeidner If we assume the FBI is technically competent, it sounds like they didn't want to be able to access the phone's data unaided.
@tomsj @chrisgeidner Pretty sure Hanlon's razor applies in this instance: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor …
@tomsj @chrisgeidner Too smart to accidentally screw up access, but too dumb to realize that they would be found out? Seems unlikely…
@n8inSLC @chrisgeidner Maybe not so unlikely.https://twitter.com/panzer/status/701305637385302016 …
@tomsj @chrisgeidner Touche...
@chrisgeidner @BuzzFeed This is such a shit show.
@chrisgeidner @BuzzFeedNews so who thinks we should trust the FBI they can't tell the truth about this either are we all stupid
@chrisgeidner Boy, am I confused.
