@chrisgeidner I never understood the point of superdelegates. If they can choose whoever, what's the point of apportioning votes? - 1 more reply

@chrisgeidner routinely tallied by media outlets throughout the long 2008 primary. Nothing new. -
@mitchfpark I know that they were often discussed, but I don't remember them being pushed out as done deals the night of primaries. -
@chrisgeidner picked up in a big way post-IA, NH, and SC IRC, when it became clear delegate math was central to O's strategy.

@chrisgeidner No. They did this in 2008, when it was also premature. -
@zubakskees Would, genuinely love to see examples. This seems to me to border on journalistic malpractice. -
@chrisgeidner@zubakskees Why? Voters should know this information.

@chrisgeidner No. It was the same in 2008 and 2004. -
@VABVOX I know there was an effort by campaigns to push the superdelegate counts, but I don't recall media orgs counting them the same. -
@chrisgeidner I think this is meant to undergird the meme that Clinton is "in deep trouble." Despite literally next to no POC voting yet.

@chrisgeidner I'd definitely be curious. Gets discussed everytime, certainly, but I'm not sure it's usually treated as such a fait accompli.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
