The news, broken by
@GayCityNews, is huge — especially considering the fact that there is no explicit trans nondiscrim law in the state. -
ESPA is basically saying Gov. Cuomo's executive order from October is enough. (Coverage: http://www.buzzfeed.com/dominicholden/new-york-governor-plans-to-ban-transgender-discrimination#.tsw3wy18k …)
-
Also, there are several other ESPA legislative aims that remain ~not~ law, including the conversion therapy ban bill.
-
The release says that the vote was unanimous, and this is unexpected, so all I can figure is it has to be a very sharp decline in funding.
-
As
@GeoffTrenchard notes, funding ?s are being faced by many LGBT orgs post-Windsor. / See: http://www.lgbtmap.org/file/2015-national-lgbt-movement-report.pdf …pic.twitter.com/jMGFlqfCPa
-
And that was the Movement Advancement Project's report of 2014 (half post-Windsor), not even 2015 (half post-Obergefell).
