Not that my opinion matters, but my problem was not with DaDT, but with how Clinton presented it—as a "reasonable compromise/MORALE ETC"...

@chrisgeidner Really? I do think he *meant* it as a compromise. But felt like a lost opportunity to be clear about the civil rights issue. -
@emilynussbaum On this, I think he honestly tried. I think he wasn't ready for the pushback, and that almost led to a complete ban. -
@emilynussbaum And Sam Nunn, the Dem running Senate Armed Services, tried to screw him on it.
