@brianros1 This wasn't limited to presidential implications, first of all, so, I'm not sure what you mean. It has many competitive races.

@brianros1 Second of all, as the largest state, California's actions often are noted/have influence elsewhere. -
@chrisgeidner sadly, only on blue states in this type of thing. Voting has become so polarized that red states will ignore it. -
@brianros1 Again, I said nothing about ~where~ else it would have an impact. I'm aware of the voting situation in the country.

@chrisgeidner down ballot, yeah. But Republicans aren’t competitive. It would be way bigger news in a place like Florida or PA. -
@chrisgeidner don’t get me wrong, it should be the law nationally. It’s a no brainer. -
@brianros1 OK, so basically, you just said one thing ("negligible") even though you meant several totally different things. -
@chrisgeidner sorry. I was short-handing. 140 characters & whatnot. The impact would be bigger elsewhere is a better way of phrasing it. -
@brianros1 Agreed. I said "big deal." I did not say, "This changes politics forever." This is a big deal bc it's CA, and bc it wasn't ... -
@brianros1 ... clear what Brown was going to do with it. - End of conversation
