@chrisgeidner @BuzzFeed I wonder if it will ever occur to the woman that maybe she is the evil person here. Just maybe.

@GlennHarrisRytr@chrisgeidner@BuzzFeed If she ever left Kentucky, maybe. But she's surrounded by religious conservs. She's "normal" there. -
@RedwoodGirl@GlennHarrisRytr@chrisgeidner@BuzzFeed We're not all crazy. I promise. As a Kentuckian I find this whole thing embarrassing. -
@Kristin_Hornsby@GlennHarrisRytr@chrisgeidner@BuzzFeed That's good to know, thank you. :) I was only speaking of her immediate area.

@chrisgeidner@euonymy "The Court would like to know if it suffered a speech impediment in earlier decision. To wit: Did we stutter?!" -
@GeonnCannon@chrisgeidner@euonymy Yeah really, What didn't you understand the first time around? -
@holyshirtsandp1@chrisgeidner@euonymy I wish Kagan had broken this out.pic.twitter.com/fC6WngzpZa

@chrisgeidner@LovetheSmartOne can she please be fired now? If I refused to do my job I would be. -
@ducky_one@chrisgeidner@LovetheSmartOne Since county clerks are elected in Kentucky, she can only be impeached by the state legislature. -
@ducky_one@chrisgeidner@LovetheSmartOne As a first step to impeachment, the DA (I think) has asked the state AG to investigate her. -
@ducky_one@chrisgeidner@LovetheSmartOne In the meantime if she still won't comply the state court can find her in contempt of court. -
@ducky_one@chrisgeidner@LovetheSmartOne Contempt could lead to hefty fines or jail time. Both would make her look like the victim. :( -
@RedwoodGirl@ducky_one@chrisgeidner at my company code of ethics says we must follow all regulations - if not we're subject to dismissal -
@LovetheSmartOne@ducky_one@chrisgeidner Yep, that's how it is at most companies, & govts. Elected officials play by different rules. :)

@chrisgeidner@epicbooklover You become a govt employee, you do your job. Go Supreme Court! Pessimistic Si is happily proven wrong. -
@siliconphospho Exactly. It's not a negotiation, and they already knew that. Just trying to delay the couple's marriage. Disgusting.
