Of c, b/c it's Congress, no one expects this actually to create new law — but it's a v interesting move nonetheless: http://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/eleven-republicans-vote-to-provide-benefits-to-married-same?utm_term=.xqDml30R7 …

@chrisgeidner And it wont be voted on in the house. -
@cindynorth1 This was a strange, ineffectual vote, yes, but -- that's why it's v interesting nonetheless that 11 GOPers voted for it. -
@chrisgeidner I'm tired of us being amazed at people displaying just decent behavior for once. -

@chrisgeidner I just feel like it doesn't really cost them anything-they can look LGBT friendly , while knowing that the House won't vote. -
@cindynorth1 Could go other way: Why vote for something that could cost some votes in any primary, when it's not gonna become law? -
@cindynorth1 The fact that some GOPers have shifted more toward worrying about the general than the primary on this is v interesting to me. -
@chrisgeidner Ok,that i'll give you-you wouldn't have seen this even 4 years ago-everyone was too worried about being primaried on the right
