HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY CRISS @darrencriss http://shar.es/1W3zsH via @mattrett
@mattrett It's not about him. He's fine. It's about the lazy casting decision.

@mattrett But, my problem w your post is laughable proposition that this is "against-type casting." TV star white hottie who is/plays gay. -
@chrisgeidner I'm lost. Both white, yes. Otherwise, he isn't anyone I'd think of when casting, hence against type. Plays gay, not trans. -
@mattrett NPH, Andrew R, MCH, and now Criss. He is the type, and, alas, he lacks the grit of the others.

@chrisgeidner Not lazy, he will sell tickets, just like he did for How To Succeed. Certainly more than the others since NPH.@mattrett -
@tradAburns@mattrett Blah blah blah. Yeah, possibly, but that's not a reason for a casting decision. Could have done that w many others. -
@chrisgeidner@mattrett And yes there are many others, but he fits the spring break, summer break crowd very well. -
@tradAburns@mattrett And I don't have to like it. ... But, I'm not analyzing whether it was a good business decision. Obviously, that ... -
@tradAburns@mattrett ... was why they did it. Transparently so. That's not at issue. What I'm saying is that it's a lazy decision *for ... -
@tradAburns@mattrett ... that very reason*.
