There are only 3 states in the U.S. that neither have marriage equality nor have ever had a pro-marriage/recognition ruling: GA, NE, & ND.

The day before Obama's election in 2008, there only had been 3 pro-marriage rulings — and there were only 2 states with marriage equality.
