It's a change that can make me appear awkward at times; I respond "maybe" to parties & sometimes don't show. I do what I need to do for me.

But, that's a small thing, that most often makes me proud that I take this, and improving my life, seriously. Most of the time, it's great.

I am more honest, open, & able to be me with my family & loved ones -- & have met even more people who are great & have come into my life.

Honestly, most of the time, I have more fun -- bc I'm focused on having fun, not getting drunk. I've had many ridiculously fun nights sober.

This is my fifth holiday season sober; I just spent a week w/ my family, incl. a nephew who I adore; & I wouldn't have it any other way.

@chrisgeidner Btw, clean & sober here since April 1987. Still having fun, finding joy, learning, and finding purpose. Stay the course, pal.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
