I thoroughly enjoyed Wild. It tried too hard at points, but it would be tough not to do so when that is kinda the point of her story.

As a story of a type of recovery, Wild rang very true to me - both as a symbolic journey of moving forward & for the actual words she spoke.
-
@chrisgeidner I love that her journey is less about overcoming hardship and more about owning it, making it a part of you.

@chrisgeidner my husband mentioned last night that "most of the guys seemed threatening at first" - I said yeah, that's what... -
@Piranha426 Right, that aspect was thoroughly compelling. I just meant it felt like Dorothy in Oz: "What will this person/group teach us?" -
@chrisgeidner life in miniature, only with much higher stakes. Did you read the book? -
@Piranha426 No, I haven't. -
@chrisgeidner (on an unrelated note, thank you for being one of my most informative follows! You shed light into some dark places.) -
@Piranha426
Thank you!!! Very kind.

@chrisgeidner ...it feels like when you're a small woman hiking alone and you come across random guys you don't know. Fear.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
