When I went to bed my first night back, I was without a clue as to where my life was going -- or whether DC was even going to "work out."

-
The past 2+ years have been even more incredible than those that preceded them. From the election to SCOTUS to Sochi to everything else ...
-
... my job has been one of constant action. It's been a gift to get to meet the people I have met and told the stories I have told.
-
And then, on top of all that, I get to work with the most incredible team of people I ever could have imagined getting to work with.
-
Seriously, on any given day, I have a dozen colleagues or more who totally intimidate me with their amazing talent. It's fantastic.
-
And now, I am getting to explore other areas of coverage -- from the death penalty & other criminal justice issues to election law & beyond.
-
So, now, five years after I arrived back in DC, as I get ready to go to bed, I am just so grateful for all of the love and support I have.
-
I have an amazing job at
@BuzzFeedNews, fantastic family and friends, and a life that contains much more joy than I ever thought I'd have. -
Sure, I still struggle w bad times, I still make mistakes & screw things up. But, that's living. I push forward. I apologize. I move on.
-
So, here I am, I love it, & I am grateful for every bit of it. Now, to bed. Tomorrow, a new day. ... Night, all, & be good to one another.
