(Note: it's stupid to impute Mozilla CEO's views to the company, which has stated its support for marriage equality.)
@gabrielmalor I don't see any "imputing." I see people unhappy w a corporate bd's decision to hire a CEO w views with which they disagree.

@chrisgeidner Looks like imputing to me. The act is against Mozilla on account of another's views. E.g: http://www.engadget.com/2014/03/31/political-backlash-against-mozillas-new-ceo-continues-as-okcupi/ … -
@gabrielmalor Just bc people aren't buying Mozilla's response that the company supports LGBT issues doesn't mean anyone's imputing anything. -
@chrisgeidner I disagree. -
@gabrielmalor I don't understand. Your claim is not based in anything being said. Every comment I've seen is about the hiring. -
@chrisgeidner I think you're drawing a line that not even OKCupid did.

@GayPatriot@gabrielmalor I'm not saying it's my position or I agree with it, I just think that Gabe is at least carelessly misreading ppl. -
@chrisgeidner "Although we recognize Mozilla's commitment to equality, we wish it failure because of its choice of CEO." Better reading? -
@gabrielmalor I think you're still missing some nuance there, but that is closer. -
@chrisgeidner "Failure" is the word OKCupid used. -
@gabrielmalor But it's not that the CEO's views are being imputed; they are saying the hire raises questions about the co's commitment. -
@chrisgeidner You've convinced me that these folks' views are more loathsome than I previously thought.
