OK. In light of the #SCOTUS "no news Friday," I'm shutting up shop for the day. Will be around, tho, if another fed judge does something!

@chrisgeidner Thanks to your smart analysis, we know they could have rejected Hollingsworth. They should say "SC took no *apparent* action." -
@DogDriver They issued two grants, but not anything in these cases. Until there's mention on an order list, I'd say there's no action. -
@chrisgeidner If Hollingsworth isn't on the order list Monday morning, then I'd say I agree with you. ;-) -
@DogDriver They took no action Friday. Period. The justices may have voted, but the court acts through orders. There were no orders here. -
@chrisgeidner Well, the next difficult question is whether I set my alarm for 9:30 a.m. Monday, which is in the middle of my night. -
@DogDriver I'll be up. Mainly seeing if AZ is denied. &: Just in case. If they weren't all held over, I'd have expected a DOMA grant. -
@chrisgeidner Question: When they grant, do they ever ask for briefs to address specific questions, or is that only at oral? -
@DogDriver They can do whatever they want to alter the "question presented" in the petition. - 1 more reply

@chrisgeidner Troubles me most wire & cable reports I saw Friday say "Supreme Court took no action." That's not necessarily accurate.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@chrisgeidner@rhanley83 Yes, this post http://bit.ly/TzgjOF spells it out clearly; this one http://bit.ly/TzgtWj isn't clear on that point.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
