@deray That's nice and very appreciated Chief Justice Roberts but WHY did he strip away protections for voting rights? -
You know why.

Unfortunately, we also now have a number of unqualified judges since the GOP Senate has no regard for independent ratings.
-
Those WILL be known as *Trump judges.

Yeah we shall see just how much Roberts means this. Kavanaugh was not selected for his judicial prowess. Don’t be surprised
if the Big Question the Scotus is asked to decide about Trump Criminality - ends up with Scotus doing the bidding of the Trump Republican Party. -
SCOTUS is above Trump shenanigans.
-
I hope you are right.
-
He's obviously not, lol

And this is why the 60-vote super majority should be reinstated for all federal judicial nominees. Along with this should come some rule changes which prevent the majority from sitting on or slow-walking nominations. The two together are a good compromise for both parties.
-
As someone on the “other side” of this political discussion, I actually agree with you on both points. My concern is that it has gotten so ugly politically, I’m not sure either side is willing to compromise any longer.
-
Thanks for the reply, Tracy. I think it's in both party's best interest (i.e. our nation's interest!) to protect the judiciary from becoming too partisan but I fear that you are right. Cheers!
-
Agree with this
! Hopefully, we can get to that place again one day soon.
Cheers to you as well!

Unfortunately that’s no longer true with sexual assaulter, repeated liar, unfit, hot-headed and short-fuse Kavanaugh on the court.

-
Kavanaugh is most definitely a Trump judge and he always will be. Compromised, corrupt, unfit, not worthy, angry, entitled pissant Trump judge.
