Asked that after he categorically denied ever witnessing an assault. And I was trying to make sure he wasn’t offering an evasive denial.
-
Thank you for that clarification.

is this an assumption that it is female student rather than male?
-
It is an assumption, especially since the Georgetown Prep School is an ALL BOYS school...
-
There are multiple reports in which the subject (or, earlier, believed subject) of the allegation is referenced/reported as being a woman.
-
Thxs for response

ah, you know, rough-housing. Locker room talk. Boys being boys.
-
The allegation is an incredibly serious one of him trying to “force” himself on her. This was the intent of the question:https://twitter.com/mccormackjohn/status/1040710213291200513?s=21 …

I can't [recall]. Where have we heard that response before?
-
In a situation like this, it's mystifying. How could you *not* recall the event happening? And if it didn't, you could categorically say it didn't because you would have totally remembered it if it had
-
Happened too frequently to differentiate? Or drunk/high and more than once? Add in huge dose of guilt-teachings and never-admit-fault.

So, nothing exculpatory

I'm pretty sure the man who attacked me in September of 1992 (yes, I knew him) would claim not to remember it. I had the strength and wherewithal to stop him and get away, but I will never forget it, and would probably speak out if he were being considered for the USSC.

Now 28 years sober, he admits to heavy drinking from age 15-25 in this article. Is it possible he was drunk at this party and therefore does not recall? Yes.https://www.splicetoday.com/writing/the-pool-of-desire#.W4wPOlpvrlo.facebook …

The initial theories re how that letter happened was quite a Rorschach test, eg, "Grassley already had a list of 65 women who knew Kavanaugh in HS?!" As for "65 girls, who didn't even go to his school...?!" (yep, that's how it works with single-sex schools)https://twitter.com/MaxKennerly/status/1040700450331348993 …

Ppl with > 10K followers saying "How cd ppl be contacted & reply so quickly?!" As if FB isn't a thing. (I'm not even on FB & I know it's a thing.) In sum, I'm intrigued b/c all these ppl w/ their incredulity & oddball theories – I hv no doubt they COULD hv figured it all out.
-
it's not possible for gopers in congress to learn of a kavanaugh incident that happened 35 years ago and in less than one day locate 65 girls from schools he didn't go to who knew him back then and have then sign a letter attesting to his chivalry. p.s., the FBI was not involved
-
GoFundMe campaigns can happen that fast, and that's people sending money to people they don't even know.
-
go fund me campaigns are public and promoted.
-
How are they promoted?
-
well, for one thing, they put them on Facebook and twitter saying 'look, here's a situation ...' and then they have constant conversations about it, which definitely did not happen with the kavanaugh letter, did it?
-
Now, couldn't a Facebook grp for alumnae of those schools function that way? Or maybe they already had a private FB grp about Kavanaugh's nomination & used that. Or maybe many of them now attend the same church & it has a FB grp & they used that? Just saying it's not so tough.
