PR Governor admitted its officials did not provide clear instructions to doctors & funeral directors on how to fill out the paperwork correctly! Per the article; so, not a FEMA failure but a PR failure.

This is absurd. There is plenty of blame to go around. If the fed'l government is aware of the, they can figure out ways to address it. Additionally, I can't imagine that the situation would be the same if a jurisdiction with more congressional sway was affected.pic.twitter.com/FVKxIF806s

Pull up Sen Murkowski’s hearings on US response & failures of PR Government & PREPA especially & lack of capital & bonding capacity in PR. Also pull up FEMA & USACE legal limits to missions. Neither “death toll” nor “success” are appropriate measures year after natural disaster.

Thanks for sharing, Ken, but I ... never said anything that conflicted with any of that. Try actually responding to the story at issue and the claims in that story, and not whatever narrative you want to push back against.

I read the article first Chris which reflects admission of PR Governor that its officials did not adequately instruct doctors & funeral directors on how to correctly fill out FEMA paperwork-understandable given lack of telecom, electricity, & staffing personnel. I did read it.

Yes ... so, the article has nothing to do with the narrative that you've been pushing in your increasingly-unrelated-to-the-issue-in-the-story tweets.

Good but I’m not pushing anything except a fuller assessment of the PR disaster & tragedy & use of appropriate measures to judge USACE & FEMA activity than simply a “death total” or a declaration of “success.”

That's not the part of the story or the tweet. Go elsewhere for that discussion. This is a story and a tweet about FEMA-provided funeral assistance. Have a good day.

Also: Your continued unwillingness to address the issue of the story itself speaks volumes.

You might just open the article & link to Brock Long’s (FEMA) letter of August 14, 2018 delineating the responsibility of PR Governor & officials to ensure that doctors & funeral directors were instructed on necessary info in applications. Read it. I did.
