The piece is good. The conceit is that this confirmation process isn’t on the level and neither Kavanaugh nor the Senators ramming his nomination through the chamber are going to feel any shame.

Do you ... not understand my initial tweet is echoing
@FixTheCourt, not disagreeing? -
I understood it.
-
I'm very confused by your tweet then. I'm aware of the conceit ... as I've been covering the document issue and the confirmation ... so I'm not sure where you're replying to me by telling me it.
-
I really don’t get what you’re coming at me for. It’s related point to the one you made/covered. They set their guy up and they don’t care. I know you know. I’m not criticizing you. Given actual unnecessary anger/whatever out there why come at people who appreciate your work?
-
I think we just have our wires crossed. I'm not coming at you. I was just confused as to why you appeared to be coming at me!
-
I am sure I misfired in ways I don’t realize. Tone may be tough to type. My point was, perhaps, intended an expression of mutual frustration (at the process) and amazement that they’d send him out there to be ambushed.

Among Millhiser's premises: Kavanaugh totally believed D senators would not break the rule about not referring to & not releasing Cmte Confidential docs and therefore Kavanaugh hadn't prepped for questions about those docs. Is it possible Kavanaugh did that? Yes. Probable? No.
