Might be a good idea to remember that "liking" tweets amplifies them and makes sure they show up in other people's timelines.

why is why I really wish there was a save or note function so favs aren't confused with likes. I often am torn as I want to note a tweet but not "like" it.
I'm not a reporter and I do the same.
