Next it will be a Muslim or Hindu wedding.

No excuse for the baker discriminating, but why would anyone in the LGBT community want to give him business anyways? He's made it clear he's a bigot and proud of it.

What I don't understand is how this baker is still in business. I'd go without baked goods for the rest of my life before I'd give this guy any of my money -- and I have a sweet tooth.

Three questions: 1) why would transgender person go to this baker? 2) why would anyone with a conscious go to this baker? 3) why is this baker SO interested in lawsuits and publicity?

-
The article didn't get an answer to your first question, they may have been testing the owner's claim that he would bake other things, like bday cakes, he just won't do gay wedding cakes. Answer to 3 is a hate group, Alliance Defending Freedom, who wants to destroy our rights

What freaking ever! This guy is afraid of OTHER. Don't give this fellow the time of day. No more free advertising! Rather, let's spend our efforts in the search for an inclusive cake baker who will take good care of the Transgender customer.

WTF is wrong with people? Sometimes I admit a transgender woman to man is odd for me to see....but I would never not serve them or do anything to hurt them or take away their rights.
-
Same here. Money is money and Id be glad to serve anyone willing to give me their money.
-
pssst he's not turning anyone away. he's refusing to make custom cakes that violate his personal religious beliefs. Go ask him if he'd make a cake picturing jesus being assraped by the devil and you'd get the same answer.
-
Then honestly he doesn’t deserve the money. This is America, we’re not supposed to discriminate. And people hiding their bigotry behind their religion is the most blasphemous and sinful thing I’ve ever heard.
-
okay, no, this is america, land of the free, as in, no, we're not gonna legislate a bakery out of business because he's got personal convictions that lead him to refuse to make custom goods violating his personal beliefs. unless you believe we should force people to create goods.
-
I, but I know that when people deny people like you service, usually for belligerence or aggression or outright bigotry, you act like no one in the history of the world as been more oppressed. It’s like you all stopped mentally progressing at childhood.
