So obviously I’ve already lost an AirPod (in a manner where I helplessly watched and listened to it fall out of my grasp, a la the classic children’s board game, Mouse Trap), and it’s weird because they’re not THAT great, yet here I am buying a replacement AirPod

It’s like some kind of hysterical indie or country song. Don’t ever fall in with AirPods, because you will love them, and if you’re like me, lose them, and you will be unable to quit, costing you $60-170!!

Traveling is wildly easier. Getting up during the day to refill a water bottle or whatever, better. Not literally being attached to your phone, better.

Maybe that’s the magic: They’re earphones that are more a part of you than the things they’re “connected” to — yet seamlessly connected to it.

... and the (near) seamless transfer between my ears and listening to it on my home speakers is a real thing that allows me to keep the relaxation I'm getting on the walk home to stay with me once I walk in the door. (Or something like that.)
