AT THE END OF THE DAY: In the two big #SCOTUS moves today, the court took no position on abortion rights or application of civil rights laws to same-sex couples' marriages. In doing so, the Chief Justice was able to minimize dissent and avoid controversial rulings.
Nonetheless, the issues remain — as the class-action case involving whether undocumented teens can seek abortions while in federal custody still exists and a different cert petition raising the same question as in Masterpiece (Arlene's Flowers) is pending before #SCOTUS now.
