If I understand this video correctly, Thumbnails and Title are what matters not tags or almost anything else? Does that imply clickbait wins? ;)https://youtu.be/S0N6nC7heqc

Clickbait always wins for eyeballs but not necessarily engagement or loyalty (I hope!)

Not sure it matters. I consistently see 70% retention but hasn’t helped much at all. Does mean that those who watch like my videos soIll take that as a win.

So long as you don't need the views for $ (mine aren't even monetized) then retention and engagement are more valuable IMO - let others chase fame :)

I do it to share my experience & help others get started with 3D Printing, Electronics & Hobbyist CNC. Getting
@TeamYouTube to promote more is about connecting with more people, not fame, but to help more. It’s why my stats that show zero 13-24 yr olds watching is so frustrating.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
Yeah that makes total sense. I backed off video because of the haters and because of being demonetized. That means I lose all the video-first folks, but at least I get fewer trolls telling me they hate how I look and sound :)
