    This article took me a very long time to research, but I wanted to understand why women don't become entrepreneurs or think of themselves as entrepreneurs when they do start businesses. I hope it's a starting point for change.

    If Twitter wants to root its values in human rights law, it should start by going back to the values it began with, and stop responding to removal requests from authoritarian countries ()

    Agree w all of this. Our early values informed our rules. We likely over-rotated on one value, & then let the rules react to rapidly changing circumstances (some we helped create). We need to root these values in human rights law. A starting consideration:

    From the GFW to GDPR and now this, it’s pretty clear we’re entering something akin to a “warring states period” of internet governance - no one hegemon but many competing and intersecting visions of what the internet is and how it should operate.

    Papua New Guinea is turning off Facebook, for a month, possibly as a prelude to launching a state-run (?) local alternative.

    Trump didn’t “call for peace,” . He used coded language—“all types of racism”—to signal his fellow white supremacists to feel as aggrieved as those whom they terrorize and kill. He sought to dilute the meaning of a word. Please do not do the same.

    Another day, another example of falling flat on its face. Apparently the word "lesbian" is triggering Twitter's ad filter.

    Twitter just rejected our request to boost our Season 2 trailer for “inappropriate language”. Once again, simply saying the words “lesbian”, “gay”, “queer”, or “bisexual” gets you censored 🤬 RT if you think that OUR LIVES ARE NOT INAPPROPRIATE

    Talk about a Trump distraction: is a whopper. The Pentagon hates it and Congress will almost certainly not fund anything like what and Pence imagine. But dealing with the massive reorg ‘idea’ will waste lots of valuable time and resources.
