Any thoughts on Threadripper vs something like an i9? The slower single core performance puts me off a little because a lot of my data preprocessing/ETL isn't parallelized

Honestly if I was doing it again Id do intel. Ubuntu support for the threadripper is getting better but it wasnt plug n play

Excellent decision on getting 64GB RAM, I only did 32 as I underestimated how much is required for preprocessing a lot of text.
